Buyer-Planner
Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is searching for a Buyer-Planner to join our Planning Department. You will use ERP software to plan and schedule distributed products, to conduct daily reviews of sales and distribution requirements, and to enter and maintain ERP planning data. You will manage the purchasing cycle of key items and will maintain stock levels accordingly. You will also coordinate with the Sales Department to provide on-time delivery of Sales Orders.


The successful candidate will have at least two years of production planning experience in a distributed products environment, two years of experience using ERP software, effective verbal and written communication skills (in English), good computer knowledge (including MS Excel and MS Word), and a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

The pay range for this non-exempt position is $25 - $28 per hour (annual equivalent is $52,000 - $58,240 at 40 hours per week.) depending on experience.

Valex Corp is looking for an Accounting Manager to join its team in Ventura, CA. RESPONSIBILITIES

The Technical Sales Representative: Life Science, Pharmaceutical & Aerospace Markets is responsible for all sales-based functions supporting the Biopharmaceutical, Chromatography, Food & Beverage and Aerospace markets as directed by the Director, Corporate Sales & Marketing. This role requires up to 25-50% travel.

DUTIES

The duties of the Technical Sales Representative: Life Science, Pharmaceutical & Aerospace include, but are not limited to, the following:

Sell to, and support customers, Valex distributors supporting Life Science,

Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage and Aerospace markets.

Provide inside sales team contractual requirements for customers (sales orders, quotes).

Check confirming purchase orders for accuracy.

Monitor order progress and expedite if needed.

Provide copies of all quotations to inside sales support staff.

Provide customer change orders as required to inside sale staff.

Communicate to Director, customer concerns and or satisfaction with service or products.

Collect information necessary for new customers (credit information, shipping

address, freight carrier, etc.) and complete appropriate paperwork for processing.

Collect order status data from inside sales team and advise customer of any revised delivery dates.

Research invoiced margins are on target and communicate discrepancies.

Check all new orders, change orders and back orders for accuracy after processing.

Check pending invoice register against reported sales figures from distribution centers.

Recommend to the Senior Director, Sales policies and procedures which relate to inside sales efficiency.

STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

Maintain a rejection rate of 3% or below.

CORE COMPETENCE

Determine tool wear and perform tool changes as well as calculate tool offsets. Typically, must maintain dimensional tolerances less than or equal to +/- .005.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers and decimals, and apply concepts of trigonometry.

Interpret blueprints, sketches, and drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces.

Working knowledge of print reading (knowledge of GD&T preferred.)

Basic PC skills for manufacturing.

The Polisher derives his/her authority from the Production Supervisor. The Polisher has sufficient authority to exercise the responsibilities and perform the duties assigned by the Production Supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Polisher is responsible for the following:

Polish material/parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand and power tools.

Apply pressure to polish while making sure dimensions stay the same.

Responsible for wearing all personal protective equipment (safety glasses, earplugs, face mask, etc.).

Inspect and replace machine consumables and evaluate operation to certify performance is adequate. 

Collaborate with engineering / machining to design and use holding fixtures and attachments to benefit machines. 

Comply with safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and regulations.

Work as a team member to aid others in encouraging and maintaining departmental standards including quality and on-time delivery goals.

Delivery Metrics:  On-time delivery, factory capacity management, and lead time (internal and external customers).

Cost Metrics: P&L related metrics (Revenue, margins, cost of goods sold, overhead, burden, capital expenditure, etc).

Employee feedbacks, employee surveys, etc.

Capital expenditure and return on asset (ROA).

Assist and work with Valex Corp. accounting team for accurate and timely reporting of the financials .

Cleanliness and appearance of equipment, building, and property, implement and maintain 6S “Customer Ready” facility.

Efficiency in production as defined by speed of flow, high first-pass yield of products, and reduction of rework.

        REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.

Bachelor’s Degree.  Masters Degree is a plus.  For qualified candidates only, Bachelors can be supplanted with 10 or more years of experience in the semiconductor weldment industry.

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (Master black belt) is a plus.

Georgetown, TX

Valex is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic 3 to join our newest location Georgetown, TX.
The Maintenance Mechanic “3” position derives his/her authority from the Facilities Supervisor and is directly accountable to him/her.

The primary duties in this role with minimal supervision, guidance, direction, or instruction, the Maintenance Mechanic “3” will perform the following duties within his or her areas of expertise.

Troubleshoot problems in complex electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment; then recommend and effect the appropriate repair.

Remove, disassemble, repair, and reassemble components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies.

Install complex electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machines and equipment.

Fabricate metal frameworks by welding as well as using standard industrial fasteners.

Fabricate tubing and piping systems in various materials, including PVC, CPVC, stainless steel, copper, and flexible materials.  Use various connection methods including welding, soldering, pipe threads, and other flanged, ferruled, and gasketed methods.

Fabricate sheet metal duct work and assemblies.

Determine appropriate wire size, design conduit runs, bend and form conduit, pull wires, install electrical panels, fixtures, breakers, relays.

Install, test, repair, and modify machinery and equipment.

Research vendor literature, determine appropriate part numbers and quantities required, and prepare purchase requisitions to acquire parts for effecting repairs and preventive maintenance.

The Technical Sales Representative: Life Science, Pharmaceutical & Aerospace Markets is responsible for all sales-based functions supporting the Biopharmaceutical, Chromatography, Food & Beverage and Aerospace markets as directed by the Director, Corporate Sales & Marketing. This role requires up to 25-50% travel.

Sales Strategy and Execution of the listed Vertical Markets:

1) Biopharmaceutical

2) Chromatography

3) Food & Beverage

4) Aerospace

Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets:

1) Provide market analysis and customer insights, industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer requirements.

2) Identify and qualify leads, prospects, and potential clients.

3) Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the benefits of Valex product solutions.

4) Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including marketing, engineering, and customer service) to ensure seamless customer experiences.

Relationship Building:

1) Cultivate strong relationships with existing customers and expand the customer base.

2) Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to connect with potential clients.

3) Provide exceptional customer service and address inquiries promptly.

Product Knowledge and Training:

1) Develop a deep understanding of chromatography instruments and consumables.

2) Develop a deep understanding of Valex Biopharmaceutical products (Catalog) & custom manufactured concept offerings within corporate capability.

3) Develop a deep understanding of Valex offerings that can be utilized within the Food & Beverage markets.

4) Develop a deep understanding of Valex capabilities and offerings for the Aerospace industries.

5) Train customers and inside team members on product usage, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

6) Collaborate with technical teams to address any product-related issues including new go-to market product offerings.

7) Develop an understanding of all market regulations and specifications. (EX. BPE) 

Sales Reporting and Forecasting:

1) Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline management.

2) Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.

3) Handles incoming sales inquiries from distributors, customers.

DUTIES

The duties of the Technical Sales Representative: Life Science, Pharmaceutical & Aerospace include, but are not limited to, the following:

Sell to, and support customers, Valex distributors supporting Life Science,

Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage and Aerospace markets.

Provide inside sales team contractual requirements for customers (sales orders, quotes).

Check confirming purchase orders for accuracy.

Monitor order progress and expedite if needed.

Provide copies of all quotations to inside sales support staff.

Provide customer change orders as required to inside sale staff.

Communicate to Director, customer concerns and or satisfaction with service or products.

Collect information necessary for new customers (credit information, shipping

address, freight carrier, etc.) and complete appropriate paperwork for processing.

Collect order status data from inside sales team and advise customer of any revised delivery dates.

Research invoiced margins are on target and communicate discrepancies.

Check all new orders, change orders and back orders for accuracy after processing.

Check pending invoice register against reported sales figures from distribution centers.

Recommend to the Senior Director, Sales policies and procedures which relate to inside sales efficiency.

Perform such other duties as the Senior Director, Sales may delegate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in technical field, or 5 years industry experience.

5 years outside sales experience

Familiarity with CRM software

Effective written and verbal communication skills.
