Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic
Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is hiring for a 1st-shift Maintenance Mechanic to work in our manufacturing facility in Ventura, CA. You will perform preventative maintenance, repair, and installation of electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and/or pneumatic equipment. You will fabricate metal framework by welding and/or using industrial fasteners, you will fabricate tubing/piping systems using various types of material (copper, stainless steel, PVC, CPVC), and you will fabricate sheet metal duct work systems. In addition, you will also perform facility projects involving plumbing, drywall, floor repair, etc.


The successful candidate must meet or exceed the following qualifications: 4-8 years of directly related work experience in a high paced manufacturing environment; must have own tools and tool chest; must be able to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, prints, drawings, and manuals; must be able to read, write, and speak English effectively; must have a valid driver's license; must be able to lift up to 40 pounds regularly, must have demonstrated competency in plumbing, electrical, welding, sheet metal fabrication, HVAC, mechanical/pneumatic, hydraulic repair.

Warehouse Worker
Ventura, CA

Valex is looking for a warehouse worker with 1-3 years experience to join our warehouse team. You will support shipping, receiving, production supplies, and production control to varying degrees and at the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor. You will use our automated ERP system to issue, receive, cycle count, and package inventory items, and you will transact receipts and issues of inventory items.


You must be familiar with ERP software systems (or be able to learn quickly), have experience with RF scanners, and have experience cycle counting inventory in a repetitive manufacturing environment. You must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., have a valid CA driver's license (driving record required), and be able to read, write, and speak English.

This is a Union, hourly/non-exempt position that has room for growth for the right candidate. Hourly rate is $22.50.

Valex Corp is looking for a qualified Supply Chain Analyst to join its team in Ventura, CA. The successful candidate will review and analyze gathered data for SIOP. You will coordinate between sales, purchasing, production, and senior management. You will provide monthly reporting on planning and production activity.

Quality Engineer
Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is currently looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join our Quality Department at our global headquarters in Ventura, CA. Some of the key responsibilities for the position include the following: read and interpret engineering drawings and review blueprints and specifications, use the latest drawing and QCIP to perform dimensional and visual inspections, document non-conforming material reports, create quality control inspection plans, lead and conduct internal audits, write work instructions and train quality inspectors, conduct root cause analysis and correction action, collect test samples and coordinate 3rd party test samples, input material test reports from suppliers, ensure all measuring devices and gauges are calibrated correctly, and all other duties as assigned.


Qualifications for this position include the following: B.A. or B.S. in the field of Engineering or Mathematics plus 2+ years of applicable work experience, or some college and 6+ years of directly related work experience; direct knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 System and Internal Audit; strong knowledge in mechanical engineering disciplines and metrology (GD&T); good mathematical skills; ability to work in a high-volume and fast-paced environment that is based on continuous improvement and team collaboration; and experience in stainless steel products, ASTM and ASME tubing/piping is a plus. Global Quality Manager
Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is looking for an experienced Global Quality Manager to join its Quality team based in Ventura, CA. As the department's management representative, you will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of the Valex quality system and the quality of its products across all locations. You will ensure all incoming material is qualified and conforms to specifications prior to shipment. You will support the sales department with complaints associated with material returns and other quality issues. You will execute all company policies, procedures, and workbench instructions as set for by Valex Corp. You will responsible for and/or perform all other functions needed to assure that our internal departments and customers are adequately supported by the quality department.

The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in a complimentary field and at least three years' experience as a Quality Manager with global responsibilities. Experience in the Semiconductor industry, especially in the area of Ultra High Purity products is a big plus. You must be proficient in MS Suite, proficient in HTML (preferred, not required), and have effective written and verbal communication skills. You must also be able to travel domestically and internationally when needed and be comfortable working under deadlines. 

This is an exempt position with an annual salary range of $125-$175k per year depending on experience. You will also be included in the company's incentive plan.

Machine Operator
Ventura, CA

Valex is looking for a 1st shift Machine Operator to join its production team in Ventura, CA. Under limited supervision, you will use various machining equipment to supply stainless steel fittings that meet specified criteria. You will identify and separate non-conforming parts, scrap parts, and acceptable parts, and you will ensure that the proper paperwork accompanies the fittings.

The successful candidate will have 2+ years experience operating various machines in a machine shop environment. You must also be able to read blueprints and production drawings, and must be able to measure the products produced to assure conformance with the drawings and blueprint dimensions using shop math. You must be able to load, unload, operate, check, and troubleshoot all mills, lathes, computer-numerical-controlled (CNC) lathes and mills, vertical and horizontal saws, and i.d./o.d. deburring equipment for the purpose of producing 1/4" through 6" stainless steel products.

This is a union position that will require a union initiation fee to join the union and ongoing monthly dues. This is a non-exempt, hourly position with a pay range of $23.70 to $29.25 depending on your qualifications. A contract wage increase will apply in March 2026.

QC Inspector
Ventura, CA

Valex is currently looking for Quality Inspectors to join our Quality Department on 1st and 2nd Shift. Valex is a producer of high-quality, high-purity products, and your role will be to inspect our products for material defects and grade of workmanship using visual, mechanical, dimensional, and functional inspection techniques. Inspections occur throughout our process, from raw material to final inspection of finished goods.

The successful candidate will have familiarity with all of the above referenced inspection techniques and the tools and instruments associated with each. Some of those tools include calipers, micrometers, and height gauges. We also work from drawings, so experience working off of drawings is a plus. You must be experienced working with computers, and you must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Some of our material is heavy and/or awkward to work with, so you must also be physically able to lift, push, pull, grip, and grasp up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, bargaining (union) position and you will be expected to join our union upon hire (there is a nominal initiation fee and monthly dues). The hourly pay rate is $22.06 on 1st shift and $25.06 on 2nd shift.

Machinist (CNC/Conventional)
Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is seeking Machinists (CNC/Conventional) on 1st & 2nd shifts to join its team in Ventura, CA. In this position, you will fabricate tools, fixtures, and other items as required using drawings, sketches, or verbal descriptions. You will fabricate component parts where set-ups are non-routine and tolerances are difficult to acquire and maintain. You will operate and set-up a variety of machine tool equipment to extremely close and complex tolerances, including power mill, lathe, and other hand and power equipment of similar complexity. You will be accountable for safe operations and a clean and organized work area.

The successful candidate will have 4+ years of CNC and Conventional Machining experience. You must be able to read scaled drawings and be able to program the machines. Preferred experience includes knowledge of Haas mills and lathes, Mazak lathes, and conventional mills and lathes. You must be able to read, write, and speak English and have good communication skills.

This position is a union position and will require you to join the union (there is an initial initiation fee and monthly dues as part of the membership). There are three levels to this hourly position and we will bring you in at the appropriate level given your experience. The 1st shift pay range that encompasses the three levels is $23.77 to 35.28 per hour, and there is a $3/hr pay differential for the 2nd shift position.

Welder
Ventura, CA

Valex is looking for primarily 2nd shift welders with some training or experience to join our team in Ventura, CA. You will perform standard production operations related to the fabrication of production stainless steel products using various welding methods. You will also weld and fabricate fixtures and tooling to support manufacturing and engineering operations, working from blueprints, drawings, and verbal instructions.

The successful candidate will have some experience in tungsten-inert-gas (TIG) welding and rotary welding equipment on a variety of materials, including stainless-steel, titanium, and copper. In addition, MIG, heliarc, and brazing experience is desirable. You must also be able to read and interpret drawings, follow written and verbal instructions in English, lift/carry up to 25 pounds often, and be able to interface with others successfully. You must also be able to demonstrate the ability to tack butt welds, as well as perform full-penetration rotary welds with and without filler rod using a rotary table.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, bargaining (union) position and you will be expected to join our union upon hire (there is a nominal initiation fee and monthly dues). There are three levels for the Welder classification and you will be hired into the level that best matches your experience/knowledge. The first shift hourly rate pay range for the three levels is $25.94 to $33.20, and there is a $3/hr shift differential for 2nd shift positions.

Production Welder
Ventura, CA

Valex is looking for primarily 2nd shift production welders to join our team in Ventura, CA. You will perform routine layouts and set-ups, and check dimensions and tolerances as they apply to welding. You will supply a product which meets the criteria for this stage of work-in-progress and you will be expected to be able to identify and separate non-conforming parts(scrap parts or acceptable parts) and note such on the related paperwork.

The successful candidate will have the ability to setup and operate various pieces of shop equipment and machinery . You must be able to read, write, and speak English, and be able to follow written and verbal instructions. You must have good hand to eye dexterity, lift/carry up to 25 pounds often, and be able to interface with others successfully. You must also be capable of being certified by Valex Corp in accordance with ASME Section 9 procedure qualifications for autogenous welding. This is a full-time, non-exempt, bargaining (union) position and you will be expected to join our union upon hire (there is a nominal initiation fee and monthly dues). There are three levels for the Production Welder classification and a 2nd shift pay differential, and you will be hired into the level that best matches your experience/knowledge and shift. The 1st shift hourly rate pay range for the three levels is $22.06 to $28.31 with a $3/hr shift differential added to the rate for 2nd shift positions. There are primarily 2nd shift openings at this time.

Manufacturing Helper
Ventura, CA

Valex is currently hiring for 1st and 2nd shift Manufacturing Helpers in our Ventura, CA location. These are entry-level shop positions and would be a great opportunity for mechanically-inclined individuals who are interested in a career in manufacturing. These are Union, hourly-non-exempt positions that are paid weekly. The general duties, responsibilities and qualifications are as follows:

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and repetitive activities on equipment and machinery,
  • Perform minor maintenance on equipment and machines such as cleaning, adjusting, and lubricating,
  • Work in one or more areas as deemed necessary by your Supervisor,
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area,

Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude is a must. You must have the ability to set up and operate various pieces of shop equipment and machinery,

  • You must be physically able to work prolonged hours with heavy material (lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 pounds),
  • You must be able to work in a loud, dirty environment and not be overly sensitive to safe levels of airborne chemical fumes,
  • If working in one of our clean rooms, you must be able to work in an enclosed temperature-controlled space with other people, while wearing head-to-toe, light-weight suits,

Manufacturing Engineer

Valex Corp is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join its engineering team in Ventura, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for the identification, evaluation, design, and implementation of cost-effective and safe manufacturing processes and equipment, in addition to making manufacturing productivity improvements to existing processes and equipment. You will also provide technical support to the operations and quality departments and perform other projects as assigned.

The successful candidate must have a B.S. degree in an applicable Engineering discipline plus 4 years of applicable experience, or 8+ years applicable experience without the completed degree. As part of your experience, you must have successfully completed projects from the design phase to the implementation phase. You must be computer literate with experience in computer-aided drafting, and you must have effective written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate with all levels/departments. Revit and BIM modeling experience a plus.

    Valex Corp is looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join its engineering team in Ventura, CA. In this role, you will manage internal and external manufacturing projects, including delivery, cost, inventory, capacity, and Cap Ex. You will provide regular status updates to our management team and directly to customers. You will manager customer audits and will provide general engineering support to other Valex locations (domestic & international).


    The successful candidate will have a BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or have a minimum of 4-6 years directly applicable experience in project management and manufacturing support. You will need a strong understanding of Lean Six Sigma, and be proficient in MS Project, Excel, AutoCAD and SolidWorks.     Cost Estimator
    Ventura, CA

    Valex is looking for a Cost Estimator to join its Engineering team in Ventura, CA. The successful candidate will rely on their technical and communication skills, while organizing and utilizing all tools available, for estimating costs for new products and special requests for sales and engineering objectives.You will use ERP software to research and setup parts, will work with planning and outside suppliers to obtain costs, and will work with production to determine feasibility.


    The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or an equivalent amount of knowledge gained from prior and related positions. This position may require some basic Solidworks and AutoCAD use, so experience with this would be preferred. Most importantly, the successful candidate will be resourceful and have the ability to learn quickly and retain knowledge. Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must.

    Valex Corp is looking for a GTAW Welder to join its team in Round Rock, Texas. Below are the duties,  qualifications, and some environmental information relating to the position.

    Duties/ Responsibilities:
    • Assembly, fabrication, and GTAW of high purity stainless steel process piping systems for semiconductor, medical pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and aerospace industries 
    • Programming, set-up and running of various welding machines. Combining manual GTAW machines and automated orbital welding machines to weld stainless steels and other high purity alloys 
    • Be proficient in welding all positions: 1G, 2G, 5G, 6G, and using a positioner 
    • Be proficient in complete joint penetration on square butt joints, and fillet welding of Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Hastelloy, Inconel, and Titanium. Thickness ranging from .035”-.125” tubing and up to 6” Sch. 40 pipe 
    • Maintain a rejection rate of 3% or below 
    • Understand AWS weld symbols 
    • Must be able to interpret welding procedure specifications  
    • Manufacture product that meets customer requirements and expectations. Inspect and verify work before submitting for inspection. 
    • Fabricate within dimensional tolerances as low as 0.010” and angle tolerances as low as 0.5 degrees

    • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with GTAW welding process and supporting functions for tube weldment manufacturing 
  • Must have knowledge of welding with internal argon purge achieving 10 PPM
  • Must have knowledge of metallurgy, primarily stainless steels  
  • Basic PC skills for manufacturing 
  • Working knowledge of 6S and Lean principles
  • Working knowledge of copy exact and documentation control
  • Basic math skills; add, subtract, multiply, and divide
  • Competency in blueprint reading, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other employees read, write, and comprehend simple instructions 
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to use various inspections tools: calipers, protractor, height gage, etc.
  • Ability to use various shop tools 


    • Educational/Certification Requirement:

  • High School diploma preferred; and/or equivalent
  • One year certificate from college, technical school, as in welding, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • ASME AWS Certifications are a plus but not required


    • Work Experience: 1- 2 years of GTAW experience

This role supports tooling and fixture development through hands-on assembly, basic design work, and collaboration with senior engineers. Below are the key responsibilities, qualifications, and role-related information.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    • Tooling & Equipment Specification: Specify machines, tooling, fixtures, and automation required to realize process solutions created by Process Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering.

    • Tooling/Fixture Design & Build: Design, develop, and coordinate manufacture of new tooling, fixtures, gages, and equipment. Improve and automate existing tooling.
    • Documentation: Create and maintain Work Bench Instructions (WBI), setup sheets, operating procedures, and CAD documentation (drawings, BOMs).

    • Integration & Validation: Plan trials, runoffs, and validation (FAT/SAT as applicable). Confirm capability, safety, and throughput before release to production.

    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with process engineering, production, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure smooth integration, scalability, and support to operations.

    • Compliance & Safety: Collaborate with EH&S to ensure equipment and tooling meet environmental, safety, and industry regulations (e.g., OSHA, NFPA, EPA).

    • Training & Support: Train operators and technicians on new tooling and equipment per WBls. Provide technical support to Operations, Sales, and Quality.

    • Capital & Vendor Support: Contribute to capital equipment specifications, vendor selection, and supplier qualification for tooling and machine builders.

    Minimum Qualifications

    2-4 years of tooling design experience
    Foundational CAD design and modeling skills for simple parts/assemblies.
    Basic GD&T and DFM/DFA awareness.
