This position is fully responsible for maintaining all aspects of the Valex Corporation's Quality System and acts as the management representative for the Texas site’s Quality System. The Quality Manager will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining the quality management system and the quality manual to assure compliance with ISO 9001 and customer specific requirements. The Quality Manager shall act as sites liaison to consultants, customers, and third-party source inspectors. Up to 50% paid travel to the corporate headquarters (based in the US) for the first 3 months will be required for training, and then ongoing travel may be required up to 10% of the time. Valex’s primary business is the manufacturing of fluid distribution systems.
Other
responsibilities will include:

Working with the Corporate Quality Director and the Site
Management team in furnishing all necessary QA/QC equipment and labs to support
the site quality operation.
·
First point of contact for site product quality issues. Lead a
cross-functional team (Manufacturing, Engineering, Materials, Sales,
Operations, Quality, and other company sites) to use the 8D methodology to
resolve quality issues.

Supervise and manage Quality control inspectors, quality
coordinator, quality technicians and engineers.
·
To organize and direct NMR (Non-conforming Material Report)
Process
·
Support Continuous Improvement efforts by managing the CIO
program (Continuous Improvement Opportunity) at the site level.
·
Make final quality decisions on the shop floor, consistent with
LOP Standards. To maintain and manage the company’s visual workmanship
standards (library of parts)

Execute all Company policies, procedures, and workbench
instructions set forth by the company and other duties as requested by the
Senior Management Team.
The
following minimum qualifications are required:

The ability to initially travel for the first 3 months for up to
50% of the time to the corporate HQ based in the US for training and
documentation development
·
Bachelor of Science degree.
·
Proficient in MS Excel, Powerpoint, Access, and Word.
·
Experience with ERP required. QAD experience a plus.
·
3+ Years in Supervisory and Managerial role
·
Experience in all aspects of maintaining an ISO 9001 compliance
(Internal audits, hosting 3rd party audits, etc.)
·
A Mechanical Engineering background is a plus
·
CQA, CQE, CQM, and Certified Six Sigma Professionals will be
highly considered
Additional
Requirements:
·
The qualified candidate must possess an intimate knowledge of
ISO 9001 and be a hands on, lead by example individual.
·
Knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and system
driven manufacturing is highly desired.
·
The individual must have experience with ASTM, ASME, standards
and be familiar with SEMI, ISO, DIN, PED, BPE standards as well.
·
Strong problem-solving skills (8D), working knowledge of Lean,
5S, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence is a plus.
