Quality Technician
Ventura, CA

The Valex Quality Department is looking for a Quality Technician to join its team in Ventura, CA. Your primary responsibilities will include: full technical support to all internal and external customers; assist, review, sign new and modified (DCN) drawings, inspection plans know as Quality Control Inspection Plans (QCIP), and other documents; coordinate all material analysis outsourcing activities with third-party lab, including for any requests from our locations in Korea and China; and perform lab material analysis, including scanning electron analysis; and other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications: 2+ years' related experience as a quality, process, or manufacturing technician; proficiency in MS Excel, Powerpoint, Access, and Word; effective written and verbal communication skills; proficiency working in HTML format helpful; and Bachelor of Science degree in a related field preferred; must be eligible to work in the USA without sponsorship.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position and the pay range is $28-$32 per hour depending on experience.

Welder
Ventura, CA

Valex is looking for an experienced welder to join our team in Ventura, CA. You will perform standard production operations related to the fabrication of production fittings using various welding methods. You will also weld and fabricate fixtures and tooling to support manufacturing and engineering operations, working from blueprints, drawings, and verbal instructions.


The successful candidate will have 3+ years' experience in tungsten-inert-gas (TIG) welding and rotary welding equipment on a variety of materials, including stainless-steel, titanium, and copper. In addition, MIG, heliarc, and brazing experience is desirable. You must also be able to read and interpret drawings, follow written and verbal instructions in English, lift/carry up to 25 pounds often, and be able to interface with others successfully. You must also be able to demonstrate the ability to tack butt welds, as well as perform full-penetration rotary welds with and without filler rod using a rotary table.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, bargaining (union) position and you will be expected to join our union upon hire (there is a nominal initiation fee and monthly dues). There are three levels for the Welder classification and you will be hired into the level that best matches your experience/knowledge. The hourly rate pay range for the three levels is $25.94 to $33.20.

Facilities Manager
Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is looking for a Facilities Manager to lead it's team of facilities personnel, including maintenance mechanics, electronic technicians, janitor(s), wastewater handler(s), etc in our Ventura, CA location. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: development and implementation a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all production equipment and supporting infrastructure; scheduling and oversight of routine maintenance activities ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency; utilization of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track and manage maintenance work orders, asset history, and inventory; completion of special projects as assigned; and support other foreign and domestic locations (some travel required). You will also collaborate with the Safety team to establish and enforce safety protocols, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.


The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or another related field. You must have proven experience in facilities management, preferably in a manufacturing environment. You must have a strong knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and environmental compliance. You must have excellent organizational and project management skills, and must have strong written and verbal communication skills and good interpersonal skills.

This is a regular, exempt position with a salary range of $100k/yr - $140K/yr depending on experience.

This is an exempt position with an annual salary range of $125-$145k per year depending on experience. You will also be included in the company's incentive plan.

Temporary Customer Service Representative
Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is looking for a temporary (3-6 months) Customer Service Representative to cover a maternity leave at its Ventura, CA location. The primary duties of the position include supporting and selling to customers and distributors, handling customer inquiries about products, pricing, current and past orders, and managing order fulfillment.


The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred), have 1+ years experience in a customer service/sales environment, be proficient in MS Excel, have great written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.

This is a temporary, non-exempt position and the pay range is $21-$24 per hour depending on experience.

GTAW Welder Level 2 - Round Rock, Texas
Round Rock, TX


Valex Corp is looking for a GTAW Welder to join its team in Round Rock, Texas. Below are the duties,  qualifications, and some environmental information relating to the position.

Duties/ Responsibilities:
  • Assembly, fabrication, and GTAW of high purity stainless steel process piping systems for semiconductor, medical pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and aerospace industries
  • Programming, set-up and running of various welding machines. Combining manual GTAW machines and automated orbital welding machines to weld stainless steels and other high purity alloys 
  • Be proficient in the following welding in all positions: 1G, 2G, 5G, 6G, and using a positioner 
  • Be proficient in complete joint penetration on square butt joints, and fillet welding of stainless steel. Thickness ranging from .035”-.125” tubing and up to 6” Sch. 40 pipe 
  • Maintain a rejection rate of 4% or below
  • Understand AWS weld symbols 
  • Must be able to interpret welding procedure specifications  
  • Manufacture product that meets customer requirements and expectations. Inspect and verify work before submitting for inspection. 
  • Fabricate within dimensional tolerances as low as 0.010” and angle tolerances as low as 0.5 degrees  
  • Comply with safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and regulations

            IT Administrator
            Round Rock, TX

            We are seeking a qualified IT Administrator to join its team in Round Rock, TX. The ideal candidate will provide first level support to Valex employees and end users. IT administrator must be a skilled communicator with the ability to gather customer information, break down low complexity problems, identify solutions to quickly resolve reported issues, and effectively and efficiently communicate resolution to impacted employees. IT administrator is expected to ensure all reported problems are recorded in Valex IT service management systems and ensure compliance to Service Level Agreements based on the severity of reported issues, and escalate within Valex corporate IT departments, as necessary.


            The IT Administrator is responsible for Support Desk and tasks, through coordination of installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintaining various types of software and hardware in support of our offices and factory. The IT administrator must be able to quickly evaluate business problems and work towards solutions and communicate tasks/projects effectively with Valex corporate IT departments. The FSA must be articulate, be process driven, and have a strong desire to deliver outstanding customer service.


            Responsibilities:

            Maintain system access and security according to policy and procedures.

            Troubleshoot system related problems.

            Manage and maintain operation of the computer systems. Update as required to minimize cost and obtain maximum utility.

            Evaluate business systems for suitability for business operations. Consult users to determine software use requirement, and research hardware applicability. Document systems and create work instructions.

            Determine business needs thru hardware/software determination. Diagnose, analyze, solve computer hardware and software issues. Negotiate contracts with outside consultants.

            Assist in test and development of business systems and applications.


            Qualifications:

            BS in computer Science or equivalent, or 5 years in IT related field.

            Minimum 2 years in MS Office and Windows Environment. Familiarity or exposure to RedHat Linux OS.

            Minimum 5 years experience in current computer operating and communication systems.

            Strong PC knowledge and experience.

            Good organizational and strong written and verbal communication skills.

            Mandarin and/or Korean fluency (written and verbal) is a plus (however, not a position requirement).
